A Journal is a written record of what you have done each day, sometimes including your private thoughts, feelings, and goals …
Simply Journal is a calm, private diary built around a calendar. Open the app and you see the month at a glance, with coloured dots marking the days you’ve written about. Jump straight to today, pick any date, or flick through months and years. Tap a day and its entries open alongside the calendar, ready to read or add to.
Every entry has a category, so you can tell an event from a passing thought or a fond memory. Event, Thought and Reminiscence are there to start with, and you can add your own with their own colours and icons. Entries can hold more than words: put photos in the middle of your writing, record a sound with the microphone, or add a video from your library or straight from the camera. Everything is kept safely inside the app, so your memories stay together even if the originals are moved or deleted. Sort a day’s entries by when they were written, by category, or into your own order with a simple drag.
When you want to look back, View journal shows a whole day’s entries in full, so you can read straight through. You can also step back to see a month or a whole year at once. The year view gives each month a colourful bar of its categories, and any entry is a tap away. Search finds words across your whole journal. Simply Journal works entirely offline, with no accounts and no adverts, and in light or dark themes on phones and tablets.
